Meet Christine Sibley, President of the Hilton Head Choral Society

Christine Sibley, President of the Hilton Head Choral Society, is a distinguished professional and passionate vocalist. As the Assistant Vice President at Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, she holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry, an MBA in Finance and Accounting, and an Executive Juris Doctor in Health Law. Christine is a CPA, a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), and a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA). She is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and a contributing faculty member for the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.

Since 2005, Christine has been actively involved with the NC Chapter of HFMA, serving in numerous leadership roles, including curriculum developer, co-facilitator of the Healthcare Finance Bootcamp, panel moderator, and chapter President.

Christine’s love for singing and choral work has been a significant part of her life. Her extensive experience includes choral singing, barbershop chorus and quartets, solo performances, choreography, and serving as a master of ceremonies. She founded and directed a community chorus in Toronto, Ontario, and reestablished it in Rocky Mount, NC, continuing its tradition of performing at retirement homes and hospices. In Rocky Mount, she also sang with the Englewood United Methodist Church Chancel Choir, the Tar River Chorus, and the Rocky Mount Community Chorus.

After moving to Raleigh, NC, Christine joined the Wilson Chorale and continued to sing with her church choir in Rocky Mount. In 2010, she relocated to Charlotte, joining the University City United Methodist Church traditional choir and the church’s a cappella octet, Spirit Singers. She also joined the Central Piedmont Community College chorus, performing with both the full group and a smaller ensemble. In the spring of 2017, Christine helped form the Community Singers of Lake Norman (CSLKN), a new chorus in the Lake Norman area.

Christine played a pivotal role in CSLKN’s development, serving as Director-at-Large on the founding and transition Board. She utilized her non-profit experience, accounting skills, and legal knowledge to manage the chorus’s regulatory filings. Following CSLKN’s first official election in the fall of 2017, Christine was elected to the Board, appointed Vice-President, and eventually assumed the role of President. In addition to being a singer, Christine’s artistic contributions included crafting the Mission Statement and social media notices, as well as choreographing and performing in the group’s shows.

Since moving to Hilton Head Island at the end of 2018, Christine has been an active member of the Hilton Head Choral Society and currently serves as its President. Her dedication to choral music continues to inspire and enrich the community.

Outside of her singing endeavors, Christine enjoys golfing with her husband, playing her baby grand piano, reading, and knitting/crocheting for charity.
