When is the last time you enjoyed a fun night out on the town? More than just a fancy dinner … we’re talking about a fun evening full of memories and music. Well, we have the perfect plans for you this fall! Join the Hilton Head Choral Society as we kick off our 2024-2025 “Oh, What A Night” season beginning with the first concert “A Night on the Town” on Friday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 540 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island, SC.
It will truly be a memorable evening featuring a variety of selections meant to entertain concertgoers while offering an escape from the regular routine. Spend the evening with our 70-voice chorus, soloists and accompanying orchestra to hear the music of Barry Manilow, the Beatles, Louis Armstrong, ABBA, Elvis and much more!
Some of the selections that the audience is sure to sing along with include: “Take Me Out to the Ballgame,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” and “Under the Boardwalk.” You’re sure to enjoy some of the other songs too like “Thank You for the Music,” “The Big City Sound,” and “It Had Better Be Tonight.” And it’s hard not to be touched by the classic “What A Wonderful World.” Our rendition won’t disappoint, we promise!
More musical highlights will be created by the chorus with the stunning voices of our many featured soloists. Paulette Siebert will blow you away with her solo during “He Never Failed Me Yet” and Samantha Larkin is sure to bring the audience to their feet during “Hushabye Mountain.” Also, the commanding voice of Vinicio Zeledon will be featured in “The Big City Sound.” And there will be more!
“The Choral Society is excited to premiere our new season ‘Oh, What A Night!’ with this unforgettable line up of music,” says Dr. Dustin Ousley, who will begin his third year as HHCS Artistic Director. “We’ve been rehearsing throughout the summer. We think the audience will be eager to hear live performances of these well-known songs!”
