The Hilton Head Choral Society is thrilled to kick off its 2026–2027 season with Questions & Answers, a POPS concert taking the stage on Friday, September 25 at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 540 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island.
Coming off the high of our milestone 50th anniversary celebration, the Choral Society is diving into a new season with excitement. Rehearsals are already underway, and the room is buzzing with the kind of momentum that only comes from a group of singers who genuinely love making music together.
Songs That Ask, Songs That Answer
This year’s annual POPS program takes a fresh angle on the popular hits we all know: songs that pose questions, and songs that offer answers. Because if we’re being honest, life is really just one long search for answers to its biggest questions—and music has always been one of the best ways to listen for them.
The evening’s lineup spans decades and genres, mixing soul, motown, and Broadway with modern favorites—from the urgent questioning of What’s Going On? to the soaring reassurance of Can You Feel the Love Tonight? with crowd favorites like We Are Family and Lean On Me, rounding out a program that moves seamlessly between doubt and hope, curiosity and comfort – all set to music the audience will recognize and love.
A Season Opener Worth Celebrating
“We are beyond excited to kick off our 51st season,” says Dr. Dustin Ousley, Artistic Director of the Hilton Head Choral Society. “Our singers have spent the summer preparing, and their dedication truly shows in every rehearsal. This season opener promises to be a thoughtful, inquisitive evening of song, and we can’t wait to share it with our audience.”
It promises to be an evening of music that asks boldly, answers honestly, and celebrates the simple beauty of singing together. We think it’s the perfect way to launch a new chapter for the Lowcountry’s longest running performing arts group.
