What makes a great night of music? A little bit of everything!

Meet Katie Rogers

Rogers has spent more than a decade carving out her own space in the music industry by staying true to who she is.

Her musical journey began with two years of classical voice and opera study at Florida State University before she headed to Nashville, where she earned a degree in Commercial Voice from Belmont University. The combination of classical training and contemporary artistry has helped shape the dynamic vocal style that has become her signature.

Her debut album, I Get Back Up, struck a chord with audiences gaining national and international distribution. Since then, Rogers has continued to write and perform, appearing at events such as the 30A Songwriters Festival and Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival, as well as Nashville’s legendary songwriter rounds.

But for Rogers, music is about more than performing. It’s about connection.

Her songs combine emotional depth with honest storytelling, often leaving listeners feeling encouraged and inspired. That message of resilience has also led Rogers into motivational speaking, where she shares her personal journey and encourages audiences to find their strength, their voice and the determination to “Get Back Up.”

Now, she’s taking that message even further with her upcoming “How Did You Get Back Up?” movement, which will collect and share stories from people who have faced adversity and found a way forward.

Anderson creates impact with an audience every time he sings. We recently asked him when he first realized he could “really sing.” He commented that it’s hard to pin-point one event, but he remembers singing at Karaoke Night as a teenager in Myrtle Beach to a loud, rambunctious crowd. They quieted and turned around to pay attention and then began singing with him. He felt honored at that moment and thought to himself—“maybe I could do this for a living. Lol.”

Suade Anderson certainly has. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Coastal Carolina University. He is an active vocalist with the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra Chorus, The Mary Green Chorale, Savannah Men’s Chorale, Siren’s Song and Wilmington Voices.

Since 2021, Suade has served as Music Director at All Saints Episcopal Church on Hilton Head Island.  Previous positions have included Music Director of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Conway, South Carolina and Interim Director of the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra Chorus. 

He recently completed his tenth year as the male vocalist with the Palmetto State Stars Orchestra.  Anderson has stage credits for the Tybee Post Theater and the Moon River Opera Company.

Regarding the upcoming POPS concert Suade commented, “One thing I love about the concert is how many popular music favorites are programmed.  I really think the audience is going to love the choices.”
